Guest Report - January 2026
“Lobby Day is one of the most significant days for ABATE of Wisconsin. This is the day we fight for everything we work on all year long. In the movie Antz they say, “one ant doesn’t matter—but when thousands stand together, they become a force.” One rider can be ignored, thousands cannot. If we don’t show up today, we give up our voice. Today, we stand together for motorcycle rights, freedom, and the future of every rider who comes after us.” Jesse Plawman Region 4A

MRF Rep Report - January 2026
As we navigate the heart of the holiday season, the federal legislators are primarily concentrating on booking their flights home to spend time with their families. Of course, some things are still moving forward and the MRF is making sure we keep a finger on the pulse of each of these upcoming topics: 1) Highway Bill: 2026 will bring a new federal Highway Bill. This bill is expected to address funding for highways, which has traditionally come from the gasoline tax. As EVs

Safety Report - January 2026
Gary Klinker It seems pretty weird to write 2026 already. It does mean we are on the slide toward Spring. December was busy for Safe Rider. We had our scheduling meeting and have the 2026 schedule posted the earliest ever. We even have one student registered for the first class in April. The classes are listed on the ABATE website. All this is because of the Motors system that we transitioned to last year. It encompasses registration, financial, bike inventory, and Rider Coac

Summer Hummer Report - January 2026
Betty Roberge Kudos to all of our members for coming together and finding sponsors for the Summer Hummer. We are well on our way of meeting our goal of securing funding to cover all of our band expenses, but haven’t quite gotten there yet. Remember that although December 31 st was the deadline for a sponsor to be included on our Hummer poster, it doesn’t mean we are done soliciting. Any sponsors that come in after the end of the year, will still be included on other forms o

MRF Rep Report - December 2025
The nation is just emerging from the longest shutdown of the Federal Government in history. Your lawmakers were still in D.C., but they were not thinking about motorcyclists; they were focused on getting enough of Congress on the same page, so we could get back to regular business. The only business the MRF worked on during this shutdown was re-nominating Jay Jackson of Indiana to the now reconstructed Motorcyclist Advisory Council (MAC). Jay is Vice President of the MRF and
