Meeting of the Mind Conference Report

I attended my third Meeting of the Minds in Milwaukee. Every year, I’m always pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of information that is packed into a single weekend. I had a great time reconnecting with ABATE of Wisconsin members.

My favorite parts of the conference were the breakout sessions held on Friday. I attended a session on Trauma, which focused on first response to motorcycle crashes, and I attended a session called Castaways: Surviving the Island. This session focused on how each person in an SMRO has a specific role, and we need to communicate in such a way to find roles for everyone.

When I wasn’t attending the conference, I volunteered my time in the hospitality suite. I enjoyed hearing from other attendees about their stories and thoughts about Meeting of the Minds 2026.
