Sponsorships Invitations Mailed

Do you know of a business or civilian that would benefit from the advertising they would be entitled to by becoming a sponsor for the 2027 Summer Hummer? Sponsorship letters went out the second week in October to sponsors that have helped us in the past. Brochures were available at the Annual Meeting for anyone interested in handing them out and regional packets containing sponsorship forms, brochures, a letter of sponsorship explanation, small event cards, and elevator speeches were delivered to regional reps. If you did not pick yours up at the annual meeting, Marie mailed them out shortly afterwards. I know it seems like ages before the 2027 Hummer is here, but we are on a time schedule for sponsorships if they want to be included on our event flyer. This flyer is put together early January for distribution in February at Officer’s Training and our deadline for becoming a sponsor/payment of sponsorships is fast approaching. December 31^st to be exact. Time marches on quite quickly when an event of this size is undertaken. Just to clarify…sponsorships are still accepted up until the Hummer, (we will never turn down sponsors) but the flyer advertising opportunity will end on December 31^st. There is a form in this newsletter if you have a sponsor that is hot under the collar and wants to get in on it right away.

Worm has the bands lined up for the weekend. They are:

Saturday – Tuck Pence – Jack Damage – The Sociables

Back again this year is our direct advertising postcards. This seemed to be a success as we did get some new blood to the event in 2026 and a few of those became members. If you recall those postcards were mailed to our membership so they could give them to someone who has never been to the Hummer, members or not. Those postcards when turned in at the gate, allowed those entering to pay a member price admission fee.

Food vendors will be contacted soon so we can get a leg up on what is needed for 2027. We are looking for 2-3 strong food vendors that will serve all day long. If you know of one, please let us know.

Does your region want to win a picnic table, fire ring, and wood for the 2027 Summer Hummer? Of course they do. It’s easy. Be the winner of the regional campsite contest that will be judged on Saturday during the Hummer. If you remember last year, Region 8A won for their Frat Party campsite theme. Can you outdo them? We’ll see. Be aware that our judges are very strict with their criteria, so plan wisely and come up with an ultimately good theme.

Be sure to throw in your hat and become a volunteer. The committee could always use a helping hand.
