Deputy Director Report - November 2026

A big hello to all of our ABATE brother and sister members of the great state of Wisconsin! I personally am so proud to be a resident of the state of Wisconsin and to be part of the leadership of the Number one (SMRO) State, motorcycle rights organization, in the country! Here is a short, but hopefully brief, little introduction for those of you who might not recognize me or know me.
I'm more recognizably known as Scotty too Hotty to my peers in this organization. And just to clarify, NO I did not give myself that name it just happened a long time ago, and stuck with me! I just wanna say I appreciate all members throughout the state that voted for me in the election and put me in this position as Deputy Director. I am a little bothered by the fact that when the elections happened, I found out that only about roughly 20% of our entire ABATE membership in the state voted! That's something to think about when you consider the number of members we have within the state and only roughly 20% took the time to vote and pay attention to who their leaders are in this organization. Just like any election, you can't complain if you didn't vote! Bottom line is it is so important to vote as citizens for who will lead us in whatever organization we are part of. We also need to be reminded that we are here to fight for our motorcycle rights and our way of life. At the legislative level we need to really concentrate on the issues that we are fighting for and we need to really give our legislative officer Steve Patton, as much support as we can. He is out there fighting for our issues and he needs all of us to help him. When there is a call to action, please respond so our government leaders know that we are passionate about what we do, that we care about our motorcycle rights, and our way of life!
In closing being that this is my first write up as deputy director in our newsletter, I want to thank you all again, and I will do my best along with the rest of our board of directors to represent our members to the best of my ability and keep us strong and united in our cause! I also want to thank Hardtail for his many years of great commitment and leadership as Deputy Director for our organization! I have spoken with Hardtail about the change and he has entrusted me in my new position. For those out there that are wondering if I can do it, that's a good question. I think we all question our abilities when we step up to a position in our organization, whether it be an officer position in our district or at the state level. I respect all of the board members that I work alongside, including Executive Director John Reblin.
I have a problem of getting a little long winded as my District 6 members will attest to when I'm conducting a meeting, lol, but I am passionate about our organization and things come to my mind spontaneously as I'm talking. Sometimes I may ramble off a little longer than needed, kind of like I'm doing now. With that being said, thank you again, everyone. Looking forward to working with everyone in our state. I plan on traveling around this next year, touching bases at many districts and regions to talk and listen to their concerns, wants and needs. I am looking forward to the next chapter in ABATE of Wisconsin!
So, for now, take care everyone. Ride safe and I will see you in the wind.
Your Deputy Director,
Scotty Too Hotty
Over and Out
