Summer Hummer Report - August 2025

The Summer Hummer Committee had an after-action meeting prior to the Board of Directors meeting in July to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly at the 2025 Hummer. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to attend but have a few things to report. First and foremost, we made a nice profit. Although not all of the final numbers are in yet, it was a good event for us.

Some issues to work on:

Our attendance is not growing as much as we would like it to. What are the reasons? Please send us your feedback and or suggestions.

There was discussion about keeping all of the food vendors in the same area and staging the merchandise vendors a little differently. There are some logistics involved in doing this, so it is something the committee will work on and improve.

Worm is already starting to line up bands for next year. As soon as our Hummer 2026 budget is set, we can begin offering contracts to the musicians we would like to have entertain us. Suggestions are always welcome here too.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to products by purchasing ABATE products at the Hummer. We were able to bring our inventory down a bit and are getting closer to our goal of having little or no physical inventory on hand.

And a huge thank you to everyone that donated their time and talent as volunteers. The hummer would not succeed without you.
