They’ve Been Ordered
Worm tells us that the Hummer is getting ready to hummmmmm. He has ordered some of our most important items to have on hand, i.e.: porta potties and golf carts. The rest of the details are starting to get ironed out and Land Warming in May will take care of getting the ground in tip-top shape. In addition, the liquor will be buried in time to prevent rain from visiting the event, according to Krissy. Hey – it worked last year so don’t knock it!
AGAIN…THANK YOU to our Hummer sponsors. We added one more sponsor! Thank you to Animal’s Bear Trail! Keep them coming in. We have decided on a Hummer T-shirt design. Please pre-order with the form on page 7 of this newsletter if you want yours.
Regions are being very secretive and are beginning to plan on their campsite themes. Has yours decided what your region will turn into? Time is getting short to order those props, so decisions should be made soon! Regions get very elaborate in their choices. This is one of the most well-received parts of the Summer Hummer each year. Is it the themes that are chosen,in or is it the judge’s humor that gets it on the favorite list?
The direct member advertising postcards went out mid-March. The committee is counting on our members to do their part and hand their card to a non-member or member alike who has never been to the Hummer. By doing so, the attendee, when presenting the postcard at the gate, will get in for the member gate entry fee of $45. That is quite a savings if the person is a non-member, who would have had to pay $80 to get in for the weekend. The postcard will then be entered into a drawing where the member of the postcard drawn will receive either a free one-year membership renewal or the equivalency of value in the form of a check. ($35) Let’s be sure to get those postcards handed out and increase the attendance at our 2026 rally. This is the first time we have used this form of advertising so let’s see how well it works in bumping up our numbers.
And of course, again a reminder that the gate prices have increased by $5 each. That means that a member gets in for $45 and a non-member gets in for $80 at the gate. Of course, advance ticket prices will still carry a discount, so order early and save yourself some money.
Isn’t it June yet? Can’t wait.
Hope to See You There and Tell Your Friends!
