Last Sunday the Board of Director’s meeting was held at ABATE Acres. That got me thinking about how many of our members have never been to our land…and how many of our members have never attended a board meeting. During the Summer months the board meetings, as well as the committee meetings, are held at ABATE Acres. This is a great opportunity for you to do both. All the meetings are open to all of our members, and you can also bring a guest, so they can see first-hand what ABATE is all about. I think you will be surprised at how professional and dedicated our board of directors and committee heads are, as well as how dedicated all of the volunteers we have are. It is difficult to put into words all the things that are needed to make ABATE of Wisconsin the best motorcycle rights organization in the country. So, come see for yourself how it all works and at the same time discover the great home we have at ABATE Acres. Just show up. You just may be happy that you did. All the information you need about times and places for meetings are in the newsletter.

District Director elections are over…the deadline for voting was June 30, 2026. Results will be released in the August issue of the newsletter. Candidacy Papers for Executive Officers and BOD Member-At-Large positions are due by July 15^th. If you are interested in stepping up to a statewide position, now is the time to throw your hat in the ring. Please read the election timeline that is on page 4 and follow the directions listed. If you have any questions, feel free to call me. And DON’T FORGET TO VOTE!! You know what they say, if you don’t vote you can’t complain about how things are being run…and you know how much we like to complain. Our members vote for who represents us so do your part.
