ABATE of Wisconsin 1F Waukesha County

Region 1F Report BuellBob.

Greetings from 1F Waukesha.

The Pledge of Allegiance always starts out our meeting. We then pay our respects with a moment of silence for our Brothers and Sisters who are no longer with us. We also pay our respects for all those Men and Women who serve and protect 24/365!

It was a very nice gathering of members that came out for our meeting. Thank you to everyone for showing up.

First order of business was to recap our Duck Pin Bowling event. From the feedback I received everyone had a good time. So much so that there are discussions about doing it again next year. It is on the winter activity list for 2027.

We talked about Officers Training coming up and getting information from the meeting to bring back to our next 1F meeting.

Lobby Day was our next topic and of course it is a big one. Our Legislative Rep. Julie, talked about our talking points and informed us about how important they all are. Everyone was informed about the time frame for the day. We are all hoping for good weather and a great turnout.

Our Awareness Rally date and location was picked. We have had great collaboration with 1A for our event so we will continue to do so. Mark your calendar for Saturday May 2nd. Once all the permits have been arranged, we will post it on the ABATE newsletter calendar. Also, it will be posted on 1F's TGIF Facebook page.

Treasury Report Bob T. Bob has informed us that since we have expanded our 50/50 to include the bowling alley and bar. We are doing very well raising money. Thanks, Bob.

Share the Road Bob T. Nothing new to report. Hopefully, it will be better this year for classes. Thank you, Bob.

Membership reports from Warner and Products reports from Janet were not given because they both were somewhere warm instead of in Wisconsin. Happy for both of them!

We are 2 full months into 2026. Before you know it, spring will be here. Now would be the time to start thinking about getting ready for the riding season. I’m talking about getting your body ready for the riding season. You should start by making sure your eyesight is up to par. Make an eye appointment so seeing down the road doesn’t make you squint. Start stretching your legs and arms. Grab a tennis ball and start squeezing it to build up your hand muscles for grabbing your clutch and brake levers. Wrist curls will help throttle control and twist your bars when cornering. Simple exercises will help make 2026 an enjoyable riding season.

Remember you can always check our TGIF 1F’s Facebook page every Friday for weekly updates.

Let’s Be Safe Out There.

May God Bless You! May God Bless America.

Waukesha Strong! 💙
