Greetings from 1F Waukesha.

The Pledge of Allegiance always starts out our meeting. We then pay our respects with a moment of silence for our Brothers and Sisters who are no longer with us. We also pay our respects for all those Men and Women who serve and protect 24/365!

 

Region 1F Report BuellBob.

We had our Meeting / Christmas Dinner as always for December. It was a great time and there was a lot of really good food. If anyone went home hungry it was their own fault.

 

We did get a little bit of business settled. We are meeting on January 25th for DuckPin Bowling. It’s at the Thirsty Duck in Sussex. We will be meeting at 11 am for a social gathering and start bowling at 12 ($5 per person for 1 hr.) If you would like to join us, you’re more than welcome to. The Thirsty Duck is located at N64 W23180 Main St, in Sussex, Please plan on coming.

 

The other event that’s locked and loaded is our Curling event. It’s in March on Saturday the 28th. It’s at the Kettle Moraine Curling Club, 2630 Oakwood Rd in Hartland starting at 9 am. (Cost is $20.) Please bring a dish to pass so we all can enjoy lunch.

 

Lobby Day was discussed and what’s our plan of discussion with our Lawmakers. We really need a great turnout to make a difference. After years of going to Lobby Day and not having a good turnout of lawmakers or assistants I had an idea. I printed up a "Save the Date" postcard to mail to our lawmakers. They will be addressed to your legislators. Then they will be getting phone calls, emails, and regular mail. I’ve asked everyone who sends a postcard to make a list of who they sent them to. So, on Lobby Day we can see who showed up and who didn’t. Then we will know who supports us, and who doesn’t.

 

So, it’s January 2026. A New Year and so much to look forward to. 52 weekends sounds like a lot. But consider 20 plus weekends in winter. So, 32 are left to plan rides. Grab a calendar and start planning.
