ABATE of Wisconsin Regions 1B Racine and 1J Kenosha
Meetings: 1st WEDNESDAY at 6:30 pm –The Brat Stop, I94 & Hwy 50.

Howdy Folks. After a wonderful dinner at The Brat Stop, we remanded ourselves to the Wisconsin Room for our monthly meeting. This is a great meeting spot with great food. I hope some more of you will consider joining us over the holidays. I'll give ya a hug! Opening ceremonies commenced, announcements were announced, and then we got into the main course.
The governor vetoed AB161/SB184. This was our consumer choice of power source for devices. We still believe you should be able to purchase equipment of any kind with the power source you feel fits your needs. Once again, it was about Freedom...and choice. Right to Repair bills AB135/SB129 are still waiting for a public hearing date. This great piece of legislation faces a lot of opposition from a lot of prime-time players. I don't care. These bills will help the vast majority of citizens who cannot afford new things with warranties. We need more outrage from more voices to keep this moving forward. Please do your part. Respond to call to actions, forward them to friends and families. Please help us help you. Every single ABATE member should be signed up for the call to action. If you're not getting them, check your spam filters and other computery things for misdirected emails and messages. We can do better.
The Motorcycle Advisory Council is reforming. Let’s hope a seat at the table can bring some common sense back to the autonomous discussion for the future. Our brothers and sisters to the south in Illinois reported that self-driving trucks may be operating there in the near future. These experimental, driverless systems are using you and your loved ones on the roads as guinea pigs and lab rats. That should scare everyone. It would appear that not enough people are aware this is happening on our roadways right now. It’s not too late, my friends. Let’s continue to fight for our freedom, safety, and choices.

Mike
