Meetings: 1st Sunday of the month at Racer’s Hall, W4408 CR-C, Plymouth, 12 Noon. 

 

Meeting was held Sunday June 1st at Racers Hall in Plymouth at 12 pm.

We have two new members who have returned to ABATE after several years of absence, Cathy and "Boner" Bonaparte. Welcome Back!!

 

Treasurer and MRF reports were given by Jen, membership report from Julie, products report by Keith, legislative news by Nate as Red is just getting into position. Laurie, our secretary was out for family affairs, previous meeting notes were read by Jen, and Melissa took notes for today's meeting, Thank you Ladies.

 

May was a busy month with lots of positive legislative action. Jen attended Bikers in the Beltway in Washington DC and told us about her great experiences on the trip. We also talked about all the calls to action in May and how important it is to be involved.

 

We had an ABATE booth at the Dairyland Classic Flat Track races at the Plymouth fairgrounds on May 30th. BIG SHOUT OUT to our volunteers who attended. We once again had great positive feedback and great products sales. We also sold all of the tickets we had for the barstool raffle being drawn at the Summer Hummer.

 

We are doing a quilt raffle. Tickets are now available, and the quilt will be at the Summer Hummer for viewing. The quilt was made by Jane, who also won the design contest for the Summer Hummer shirts. The quilt features patches made from old Harley shirts from various unique locations and fits King size. The drawing for this will be at our November 2nd meeting.

 

A committee has been put together for planning our annual brat fry, to be held January 31st, at Racers Hall, Plymouth.

 

Next meeting dates: July 6 cancelled, August 3rd, September 7th, October 5th.
