ABATE of WI Region 2A
Meetings: 1st Sunday of the month at Racer’s Hall, W4408 CR-C, Plymouth, 12 Noon.

Our October meeting was held at Racers Hall in Plymouth at 12. The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance and a Moment of Silence for our fallen. We welcomed some guests today. Thanks for stopping in Steve Panten and Michelle Nusbaum both from 1H.

The secretary report was read.

Jen gave the treasury report.

Next was the legislative report given by Nate. Cathy will be filling this position in the future. Thanks for volunteering!

Nate passed out a copy of the Tony Evers veto letter regarding Bill 184 for our choice of power/engines.

Lobby Day training was November 1 in Freedom. It was very informative and a good education. There is one coming up on November 8-9th at Wisconsin Harley Davidson.

MRF report was given by Jen. She passed out some handouts on the search and seizure process. Some information that was picked up at the Meeting of the Minds Conference. Mentioning she will be also be bringing these to the SCMC's also. Jay Jackson did get nominated to the MAC. (Motorcycle advisory committee)

Keith gave the products report. He said the products are currently online and will hopefully have a catalog by the next meeting.

ABATE annual meeting was October 10-12th. Our region received a thank you award for our dedication and support for the rights and safety of motorcyclists. Also, for our outstanding efforts with fundraising events and ticket sales. Congratulations to everyone that helped and thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

The quilt raffle was drawn with a big thank you to all involved and especially Jane for all your hard work in not only making the quilt and donating, but also helping sell tickets.

I read an article from a NAPA bi-monthly magazine regarding their involvement and support in the Right to Repair Act and with that said Steve wanted to remind everyone how important it is to step up and follow through on our fight for this cause.

If you get a call to action, forward it and follow through. We need a stronger voice and more support to be heard. 530,000 people in the State of Wisconsin have an M endorsement on their License with less than 500 responding to the call to action.

Thank you, Steve for this great information.

Michelle wanted to mention that on November 8th Region 1H (Washington Co) is going to be part of the Hartford Christmas Parade and they are looking for people to walk or ride in the parade.

The annual Randy & Janine Fisheree is on January 17th at Knuckleheads Bar on Little Cedar Lake.

Future events include:

Legislative training on November 8th at Wisconsin Harley Davidson (Oconomowoc)

December 6th at Springbrook VFW (Springbrook)

December 7th at John & Michelle’s Bateman Tavern (Chippewa Falls)

January 31st our Brat fry at Racers Hall

February 6-8th Officers training in Marshfield

The Road is Calling.
