Meetings: 1st Sunday of the month at Racer’s Hall, W4408 CR-C, Plymouth, 12 Noon. 

 

We held our meeting on February 1st at Racers Hall in Plymouth.

I read the Secretary report followed by Julie who gave the membership report, with a few members due to renew.

 

Treasury report was given by Jen.

 

Nate gave the Legislative report filling in for Cathy. February 3rd is a public hearing on AB848 regarding allowing autonomous vehicles to operate on highways in levels 4 and level 5.

 

Jen gave the MRF report. The MRF has submitted public comments to NHTSA requesting input on the FARS (fatality analysis reporting system) and the NTS (non-traffic surveillance system) These being the systems that track crashes and why they happened. Currently, there is no tracking on if the vehicle was in autonomous mode. We want to keep Motorcyclists in mind when tracking and analyzing these incidents. The Highway Bill is coming up with our best opportunity to get some of our agenda items passed.

 

Bikers in the Beltway is on May 18th and 19th.

Heartland STEAM Conference is in Minnesota on March 20th-22nd, if anyone is interested see Jen.

 

Keith gave the products report. He mentioned they do have all of the old products online now. If anyone needs help ordering on the website, he can help with that. There may also be some products at Officers Training.

 

Under old business there was a call to action on the 19th. Hopefully, everyone followed through on that.

 

Our Brat Fry was January 31st. Sammy Ray & Friends put on an awesome show as usual! Thank You.

Nate wants to thank all the volunteers and all that attended. Without everyone's help and attendance this would not be possible. Great turnout and fun was had by all. Also, thank you to Brandon Dietrich of Raven Eye Photography for taking pictures and posting them. We welcomed US Representative Glenn Grothman and Majority Leader of the Wisconsin Senate Devin LeMahieu to our Brat Fry. We thank you for your attendance. We signed up some new members as well at the Brat Fry.

 

Under new business Officers Training is coming up February 6, 7, 8th in Marshfield.

Lobby Day is February 17th.

March 14th Chili Cook Off at My Ten Point Bar and Grill in Harshaw.

March 28th Region 1H Chili Cook Off at the VFW Post in West Bend

April 25th ABATE Club Summit. Also on this date is the Ant Hill Mob Bike Show.

May will be our Motorcycle Awareness Rally details to follow.

May 3rd Roadrunners Bike blessing and the CMA Bike blessing.

ABATE Acres Land Warming May 15-17th.

 

RIP Roger "Bug" Woodke founder of our region.
