Hummer 2027 Sponsorships Needed

Do you know of a business or civilian that would benefit from the advertising they would be entitled to by becoming a sponsor for the 2027 Summer Hummer? Now is the time to start bringing them on board. Sponsorship letters will be going out the first week in October to sponsors that have helped us in the past and brochures will be available at the Annual Meeting for anyone interested in handing them out. This is a great opportunity for businesses to get some good advertising bang for their buck. Starting with a $250 donation, our sponsors will be listed on our Summer Hummer flyers/posters, will have their name printed in our event program, and will be listed in the May and June 2027 issue of our newsletter. In addition, they will be listed as sponsors on our Hummer website and mentioned on social media posts and starting with a $500 sponsorship, are entitled to free passes to the event. There will also be a sponsorship form listed in the newsletter for you to use. Please note that to be listed on our flyer/poster sponsors must have their information turned into Laurie, along with their payment, by December 31, 2026. This early date allows us to have time to create our 2027 posters with the sponsor information listed on them. It is created in January and printed by the end of month. To save postage, these posters are distributed at Officer’s Training in the spring. Last year ABATE was blessed to have a record number of sponsorships, which allowed us a better than usual profit for the year. So, let’s get to work. It takes a village, you know, to put on the Summer Hummer.

Worm says he has the band lineup set for the weekend. He’s still a little hush, hush on who will be entertaining us, but rest be assured, they will not disappoint.

We will be sending out our direct advertising postcards to members again in 2027. Several new people attended using those postcards that were given them by one of our members to get into the event at a member price and a few of them became new members after being there.

We are still working on a few incentivizing ideas for food vendors, so we can be sure we have enough coverage next year. One idea is to have food vendors commit by end of year with payment in full and possibly receive a partial refund of their entry fee when they set up at the Hummer in June.

Does your region want to win a picnic table, fire ring, and wood for the 2028 Summer Hummer? Of course they do. It’s easy. Be the winner of the regional campsite contest that will be judged on Saturday during the Hummer. If you remember last year, Region 8A won for their Frat Party campsite theme. Can you outdo them? We’ll see. Be aware that our judges are very strict with their criteria, so plan wisely and come up with an ultimately good theme.

Be sure to throw in your hat and become a volunteer. The committee could always use a helping hand.
