Summer Hummer Report - July 2026

Krissy Bowe
Betty Roberge

And Just Like That…. It’s Over!

As I write this, the Hummer hasn’t happened yet but I’m hoping that the weather was great, the bands were awesome, and the friendships made are long-lasting. The Hummer is one of those events that leave a lasting impression. I hope it was the best ever and that ABATE made some good bank from it. That is after all, what makes the world go round and allows us to do our legislative, educational, and safety work. And we’re darn good at it, so Kudos to those of you that attended and made it so successful. More on that next month.

That having been said, it’s now time to come together and discuss what we could improve on and what we can do to create an even better event next year. That means that the Summer Hummer committee will have a longer than normal committee meeting in July to discuss outcomes, improvements, and the future of the Hummer. If you have ideas, concerns, or criticisms, this is the time to voice them. If you aren’t attending in person, please contact either Worm or Betty and we will bring them to the “after party” or rather the July committee meeting.

This is also the time to thank all of you that helped us put this event on. It is an undaunting task to pull off every year. Our sponsors are the best. Please be sure you thank them and contribute to their success by visiting their businesses or establishments. Let them know who you are and that you appreciate their support of ABATE of Wisconsin.

To the Hummer Vendors…we couldn’t do it without you. By being a vendor, you attract our members and attendees without which we wouldn’t have the income to put on this rally. You are special in the eyes of ABATE of Wisconsin.

And last, but not least, our Member Volunteers. You are what makes this event happen and you work relentlessly during the course of the year to give us what we expect…and that is an ultimate Hummer experience. You get it and we appreciate you more than ever.

So, now we begin to plan for Hummer 2027. That will mark the 22nd year the Hummer has been at ABATE Acres. Can you believe it? Some of us remember what we had when the land was purchased and are amazed at what we have now. Thank you to all those members that work every weekend during the summer season to keep it a place we are so proud of. Tell the members in your region what they are missing if they have never been to their land. A beautiful place to unwind, visit with good friends, and enjoy nature.

See you in 2027!

SAVE THE DATE – JUNE 24-27, 2027

It will be a rip-roaring time!
