Summer Hummer Report - December 2025

Keep Up The Sponsorship Momentum

We are beginning to see some sponsorship money coming in. Keep those solicitations going during the month of December. If the businesses you contact want to be included on all print material that ABATE of WI puts out regarding the Hummer, we need it by the end of the month. Any sponsorships that come through after December 31st will be excluded from being printed on our Summer Humme poster, which is distributed statewide and is printed in several neighboring STEAM states, Michigan, and the MRF newsletter, so that advertising pays off. If the deadline is missed, we will still accept them as a sponsor, but they won’t get in on the poster. It's been said before that the more sponsorships we are able to bring in, the more profit we will make from this event and the more we can offer to our attendees. The committee is still asking each region to find $500 in sponsorship money. This could be as much as (5) $100 sponsors or (1) $500 sponsor. Of course, if your region can supply more than $500 worth of sponsors, we won’t turn it down. So, let's get to work!

We are always improving our Summer Hummer grounds at ABATE Acres, and this year we will have a permanent food pavilion that was built in November to replace the white tents we had always put up for shade and protection during rainy weather. The land committee also improved the floors in the showers and restrooms by having them covered in a more permanent epoxy-type coating. Our attendees will certainly appreciate both improvements.

Here is our band line-up:

THURSDAY EARLY EVENING - Shady Glen

THURSDAY EVENING - Bobby Evans & The Alimony Blues

FRIDAY AFTERNOON - Jack Damage

FRIDAY EVENING - Enuf Said

SATURDAY AFTERNOON - Tuck Pence

EARLY EVENING - Los Guys

SATURDAY EVENING - The Bad Mother Truckers

SUNDAY - Libra Union

Get your T-Shirt design ideas to either Worm or Betty by February 1st. The committee will decide on a design during Officer Training at Marshfield the weekend of February 6 – 8th, 2026. The winner of the contest is entitled to a free Summer Hummer weekend pass. Yahoo!

Speaking of Summer Hummer passes, the cost of attending the event has gone up by $5 per person starting in 2026. Unfortunately, fixed costs continue to go up while gate income remains steady, which means we need to find different ways to boost our income. While this will not generate a huge amount of income for us, it will help offset some of the rising costs of putting this show on.

Weekend passes for members are now $40 each pre-sale or $45 each at the gate.

Non-Members are now $80 each pre-sale or $85 each at the gate.

Day passes are now $35.

As always, if you joined ABATE since the last Hummer, you receive a coupon in the mail for $10 off your entry fee.

Regions should start planning their campsite theme now so they have plenty of time to get their “props” together.

Campsites will be judged on Saturday afternoon, with the winner announced on Saturday evening.

Volunteers to run the show are always needed. Please reach out if you have a particular talent you would like to share.

Can't wait 'til June. See you there.

Hope to See You There and Tell Your Friends!

Save The Date – Hummer 2026 is June 25, 26, 27th!
