Back in Business

Safe Rider is off and running. Classes are filling fast. If you know anyone who wants to take a class tell them not to waste time. If you want a BRC2 Experienced class, we still have a good selection of dates. Along with our new registration system, and new ABATE web page, we now have a connected range. We purchased a cellular iPad so we will have internet on the range. It will allow us to have access to the student registrations and information. It also connects us to the Wisconsin Motorcycle Safety Programs app, as well as having electronic test recording. Anyone who has ever tried to use paper and pen in the rain will appreciate that function.

In the past three weeks we have been hauling bikes, putting up new signage, getting equipment ready and prepping the range. We want to be the best we can be to provide our students with positive experiences in their class. For many it is their first exposure to motorcycling. We want them to enjoy it and stick with it for many years.

The month of May really kicks off the riding season. I hope everyone has their ride ready to go. This month will include a ride to DC for Bikers in the Beltway. We will make a lot of good contacts to support the motorcyclist’s legislative agenda. Be sure you are signed up for the

ABATE Legislative alerts and that you take the actions requested. It only takes a few seconds to have your voice heard.

Correction: In last month’s issue of the Newsletter the picture of our new bike identified it as the W 230 Kawasaki. That was the CB 300 Honda purchased from Two Brothers in La Crosse. Here is the Kawasaki W 230. They are both very nice training bikes.

Ride Safe,

Gary
