Get your votes in! October 1st, 2026, is the deadline for absentee ballot casting for the statewide general election to be received at the post office box. Any mailed-in ballots received after that date will not be counted. You will still be able to vote in person, though at the Annual Meeting in Eau Claire. The results of the election will be announced at the Board Meeting at Noon on October 11th, 2026.
Please READ the ballot! The election committee needs certain information to verify your voting status. If you don’t use your zip code for example, your vote will not count. Every election the committee is forced to exclude ballots because of a lack of information provided or sometimes they just plain can’t read what was written for a name. And remember, use your given name, not a nickname on the ballot form. We have way too many “Cowboys” in ABATE of Wisconsin, so we won’t count a “Cowboy” if it comes in as a vote.
I hope to see many of you at the annual meeting and will be looking forward to talking to you about any ideas you have to improve membership. Let’s make a concentrated effort to bring our numbers up.
We still have some time for riding this fall but the season for Chili Cook-Offs and indoor activities is getting close. This is a great time to bring new and prospective members to an ABATE event. I hope all of you are mentoring your new members. That’s very important. We don’t want to lose members that we work so hard to get.
