ABATE Acres Report
A few things are being planned for ABATE Acres. We are going to have the bathroom floors coated with a more permanent (guaranteed) covering similar to the resin that is used on garage floors. This will alleviate the necessary floor painting that is done as a maintenance project.
We are also in the process of getting final bids to have a food court - open-sided pavilion built for use as a covered eating, resting, and shade spot. This mini pavilion will be 30’ X 32’ with 14’ sidewalls and a grass floor.
Also, in the works is getting bids for a remake of the brown palace. This facility will provide space for our 50 years of ABATE artifacts, a boardroom meeting space, and a new kitchen. More to come on that project once the bids are in and a time frame for the remodel/build is approved by the board.
We are going to be buttoning up the land at Land Closing the weekend of October 19, 20, & 21st. Hope you can come up and help and or visit with the land committee one last time before the snow flies.
