Pauline’s Summer Hummer Adventure Ride

The 2025 Summer Hummer Adventure Ride went to Marieka Gouda, in Thorp, Wisconsin located on the south side of the intersection of Hwy 29 and Cty M.

Marieke Gouda provides raw milk gouda that is made the traditional way. You can watch every step of the process, from feeding the cows, production, and aging, all the way to picking it up at your local grocery store.

There is a retail store, restaurant, and cheese samples are available inside the store and a beautiful porch and lounge area outside.

Gouda cheese is a semi-hard cheese made from cow's milk, originating from the Netherlands, specifically named after the city of Gouda. It has a creamy texture and a mild, nutty flavor that varies with age, becoming more intense and complex as it matures.
