CALLS TO ACTION - What Are They?

Has anyone out there heard about ABATE of Wisconsin's Calls-To-Action? When there is an urgent need for our members to contact our elected legislators and let them know our position as not only their constituents, but as motorcyclists, about a piece of legislation coming up for a vote or about a hearing that we need to show up for, you will receive a Call-To-Action request via email. These are only sent out to members who have previously signed up for them.
These Calls-To-Action have the potential to sway votes and are an extremely important tool we use to get the attention of our Wisconsin Senators and Representatives. Responding to a Call-To-Action is a simple thing. These requests are usually accompanied by a pre-written letter and will also give you the opportunity to find the legislator who covers your area of the state. You can email one to your legislator in a matter of clicks on your mouse. If you don't want to send an email to them, pick up the phone and call them directly, but be sure you are proactive and respond. Let your legislators know how important these issues are to you and to motorcycling in our state.
Please respond right away when one of these requests is received by you. There IS power in numbers, and if our legislators receive a mass number of emails or calls from their constituents on an issue, they pay attention, and it makes them think.
Sign up today. Go to ABATE of Wisconsin’s website. Hover over Legislation.
Click on Sign-Up for Alerts and boom, you’re there. Fill out the form and submit it.
Also, be sure to sign up for the Motorcycle Riders Foundation Call-To-Action system, which will inform you of federal issues we need to support.
