ABATE of Wisconsin Region 4A/4B

January Meeting: January 10 at 11 a.m. at Hometown Bar in Custer, WI

The Region 4A/4B meeting was held on December 14 at Chack’s Day Break Bar & Grill. Members began the day by enjoying breakfast together. Thank you to Day Break for the excellent meal.

The meeting was called to order by Doug Kops. Doug led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and offered prayers for our downed brothers and sisters, as well as for members currently facing health challenges.

Jan read the minutes from the November meeting. The minutes were approved as read.

Char reported that there was nothing new to share for the Treasurer’s Report.

Jesse shared an important message regarding Lobby Day, emphasizing that it is one of the most significant days for ABATE of Wisconsin. This is the day we fight for everything we work on all year long. He shared a clip from the movie Antz, where they say, “one ant doesn’t matter—but when thousands stand together, they become a force”. One rider can be ignored, thousands cannot. If we don’t show up today, we give up our voice. Today, we stand together for motorcycle rights, freedom, and the future of every rider who comes after us.

Jesse also shared information he and Doug learned at the Lobby Day Training session held on Dec 7.

Doug shared gun raffle quotes received from Damon Auto and Chase Outdoors. Doug and Dan will decide on the final options for the raffle. A tentative date of August 15 was approved for the gun raffle, to be held at a bar following a day-long fun run. Tickets are expected to be available by February officer training.

Doug recommended offering Denise Peterson an Area Representative position. The group agreed, and Denise was welcomed as the Wood County Area Representative.

We reviewed the upcoming events in February including Officer Training, Lobby Day and the Pool & Dart Tournament.

Following the meeting, members enjoyed a fun white elephant gift exchange. Donations collected for the food pantry will be delivered to the Pittsville Food Pantry. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

Upcoming Meetings:

· January Meeting: January 10 at 11 a.m. at Hometown Bar in Custer, WI

· February Meeting: Saturday, February 7 at 8 a.m. during Officer Training, held in the lobby of Hotel Marshfield
