Next Meeting: October meeting will not be held due to Annual Meeting in Eau Claire.

November 14 meeting will be held at Patsy’s Bar & Bowl in Rudolph at 11 am.

 

The Region 4A/4B meeting was held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11 am at Reservoir Dog Saloon. Thank you, Trish, for opening early for us and providing doughnuts.

 

The meeting was called to order by Jesse Plawman. He led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and offered prayers for our fallen brothers and sisters.

 

The Secretary's Report was printed for everyone to review and approved as written.

 

Treasurer's Report: Char shared that the Fun Run on the Water event and gun raffle raised $6800.

 

We then held an election for Regional Rep. Doug Kops was nominated and accepted. Doug thanked Tom Babbitt for joining our meeting and shared with the group that Tom is retiring as District 4 Director and that Jesse has been elected to take that position. Additional positions for Safety Rep, Event Coordinator and Sergeant at Arms were reviewed.

 

Jesse shared we need to focus on getting the right to repair surveys distributed to our local repair shops.

 

He then reviewed upcoming events.

 

Jesse and Rich will be attending Meeting of the Minds.

 

Jesse shared a knife display that Dennis Jensen offered to sell for a future raffle. He also shared a 1981 Easy Rider magazine he purchased that has an article about ABATE of WI visiting Waupun Prison.

 

Membership, Denise reported that we have one new lifetime member, 6 new members and 2 renewals.

 

A membership drawing was held. Leya Slocom was selected but was not present, so the prize will be carried over to the next meeting. A second drawing for members was held to give away a Bug Slide package donated by Dave Rasmussen, that was won by Char Hecht.

 

Future fundraising events were discussed. We agreed on having a meat raffle later in the year and next year a summer long fun run.

 

Doug shared a safety report. Reviewed number of motorcycle deaths in the state. Reminded us to check tires and brakes.
