​Region 4A/4B meeting was held August 16 at Jordan Bar & Grill.

Our December meeting will be at Chacks Day Break Bar & Grill in Weston – on Sunday December 14th at 10 am.

 

Region 4A/4B meeting was held November 8th at Fast Lane Bar & Grill. Thank you to the new owners of Fast Lane for having us and signing up to be new members. The meeting was called to order by Doug Kops. Doug led the group in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and offered prayers for downed brothers and sisters.

 

Jan read the minutes of the September meeting. The minutes were approved as read.

 

Char reported earnings from the gun raffle and adventure tour. The success of the raffle and adventure tour was noted and applauded. Jesse shared his message regarding the latest on the bill to prevent government regulations regarding fuel source that was vetoed by Governor Evers.

 

Doug shared information from the state meeting, he congratulated Jesse for being Member of the Year. Also, Tom Barten was recognized for his years of service as Share The Road instructor. Doug also shared that we enjoyed having Tom Tiffany as guest speaker.

 

For next year’s fundraising we agreed to have our May brat fry sale at the Cenex in Stratford. Char recommended we advertise in the Stratford Area Wide newsletter/FB page. It was also recommended and voted on to purchase the brats and buns at the local grocer again. We have decided not to do the adventure tour next year, but possibly a one-day ride. We agreed on having a meat raffle, the owners of Fast Lane shared they would be happy to sponsor and help with that event. Further discussion was tabled until the next meeting. We voted to have this year’s District Pool & Dart Tournament and Chili Cookoff at The Rail Trail in Fenwood. It was recommended to change the date of the event to avoid coinciding with the Motorcycle Swap Meet in Wausau.

 

Lobby Day and Lobby Training were reviewed. Further discussion will be shared at future meetings. We discussed the Summer Hummer Sponsorship program. Pamphlets were handed to members and asked to share with businesses that might be interested. Melissa asked expressed interest in being a vendor at Summer Hummer. Holiday Cash Raffle tickets were collected, Sweetheart Raffle Tickets distributed. Jesse recommended Carley Ashbeck be Wood County Area Rep. We all agreed and welcomed Carley.

 

Our December meeting will be at Chacks Day Break Bar & Grill in Weston – on Sunday December 14th at 10 am. We will have breakfast followed by a meeting and then a holiday white elephant exchange (max value $20) Members are also encouraged to bring donations for a local food pantry. Jesse volunteered to find a local pantry to donate to.

 

Our January meeting will be at Hometown Bar in Custer WI on January 10th at 11am.
