Meetings: 1st Sunday – 1:30 pm at Jailhouse Saloon, Centerville, WI

 

Just got home from State Board meeting at “The Land”!  Was my first time there and I gots ta say, WOW!!! Looking forward to more of that place.

 

Motorcyclists are in the sights of our current regime with the MAC (Motorcycle Advisory Council) being dissolved before even having their first meeting! The current administration is replacing the folks from 2021 with their own version that are more to their liking. As members of ABATE, MRF, NCOM and riders in general, it is gonna be our fight to make sure we are being considered going forward! One shining light is that there are a couple of Congressmen that are rightfully PO’d about the situation. Also, our rep, Van Orden, is leaning our way regarding this. Probably a good time to call, email or meet him and remind him that we are watching and we VOTE!

 

In the same space of involvement, Steve Panten mentioned that responses by members to Call to Action alerts were not satisfactory. You’re taking the little bit of time to fill out both ABATE and MRF alerts is probably the easiest and most effective way to ensure our elected representatives hear our concerns. Please make the time to keep our way of life minimally infringed on!

There are a couple of improvements to the facilities at ABATE Acres. Installing a resin coating to floors of bathroom/shower areas and looking to build a pavilion for the food vendors… Worm is rockin’ the vibe in Greenwood! Way to go, Sir.

 

We are racing hard into the Fall Riding season and hoping y’all have been partaking of the extra time on the 2-wheeler (or 3, I didn’t forget ya, Rev!) Watch out for leaves and dropped hay bales as well as the flippin’ venison!

 

Next meeting is October 5th at 1:30 pm at the Jailhouse in Centerville. Looking forward to seeing ya there!
