Suddenly this Summer! Sturgis and the riding is fine… And it’s flying by! Dog Days of Summer, for sure

 

Around here we finished up Holmen Kornfest and Bangor Fun Daze. Rev and I set up Saturday at the car show in Bangor. Chatted with the head honcho of the 608 Car Club about shared concerns and benefits of ABATE membership! He needed to get back to the awards for the Show but was receptive to our mission. Speaking of awards: Rev has a classic restored RV on a Dodge chassis that took 2nd in the Survivor Class and also got 1st with his sidecar equipped bagger. His Son, Ryan, took the #2 spot with his Wankel powered Suzuki. Nothing like a little father/son rivalry!

 

We had a great experience at National Night Out in West Salem the first Tuesday in August. There were several of us working the booth with many people stopping by including Senator Brad Pfaff. The kids enjoyed the tattoos, pencils, glass cleaners and wristbands that we gave out. Will definitely do this again next year.

 

No meeting in September cuz of the holiday, so meeting in October will be election time for the Regional Rep. The meeting is October 4th at Holmen Legion at 1:30.

 

Don’t forget to take advantage of the fact that Meeting of the Minds is in Wisconsin this year and ABATE of Wisconsin is hosting. Takes place at the Sheraton-Milwaukee in Brookfield…. only a short ride away. There will be plenty of information from like-minded individuals and SMROs available.
