Summer is here and the riding is on point…FYI, the bugs that get past the beard haven’t gotten any tastier!

 

Let’s take care of some business then catch up on what’s happening in this neck of the woods. Nominations for the 7C Regional Representative are being made, so if you’re interested in taking part in moving our organization forward, please make it known. Membership has voted to cancel the July meeting so that we can enjoy the 250th Anniversary of American Independence. Our local Region 7C ABATE election is scheduled for the October meeting so be ready to attend and vote!

 

Dave Van Dyke & Leeann Ruegg attended our meeting yesterday and I want to give a huge shout out for the time that all of the layers of our organization work diligently to ensure we are the best grassroots team anywhere.

 

August 4th is National Night Out and 7C will be at Vets Park (121 Mill St. S) in West Salem.

August 14-16 is Bangor Funz Daz at Village Park. We had a site at last year’s event which attracted some interest with our “Common Ground” poster so anticipate similar interaction. Very family friendly event! This also is same weekend as Kornfest in Holmen so our group is splitting up so that we can help out at that event. If you’re able to head up to Holmen, see Bill or Betty to volunteer some time!

 

Midterm elections are coming soon, and my take is that this election cycle will not be the usual “oh well “ that midterms have become. Get informed, get involved, and get out and VOTE. There is certain to be a new round of relationship building in ABATE’s future so let’s make sure we get folks in Madison that we can work with.

 

Again, NO meeting in July and our election of local Reps is happening in October so get nominations in.

Enjoy the road ahead and celebrate responsibly…kinda tough to grab the brake lever or your throttle with missing fingers!
