Meetings: 1st Sunday of month at Sunset Tavern in Black River Falls, WI. At 1:30 pm, downstairs

 

We had a short mtg before the Chili Cook-Off at Sunset on Saturday, Feb 21st. Rich led us in the Pledge and MOS. We talked a short time about Lobby Day. All of us thought it went very well. Thanks to all that took the time to journey to Madison. Next year bring a friend - make it your goal. Please remember these people WORK for you and all Senators and Representatives are up for election Please go to their events and wear ABATE clothes. Be seen. Another thing is our call to actions. If you are not signed up for them, PLEASE do, and fill them out (this is so easy even I can do it!) The Chili Cook-Off was a great success. Huge thanks to Alyssa and Curtis at Sunset for all you do for ABATE. Special thanks to Alice and Betsy for taking care of the raffles and 50/50’s. We had around 40 people taste chili. Winners were a tie for 1st Sarah and Curtis. I finished a distant 3rd. We had some great contact with non-members and gave them plenty of info and some trinkets to remember us by. We showed a tidy profit, and it was decided that it should go to the Marlene Bautch Fund. There is no March mtg as it is so close to the cook-off.

 

Next meeting is 1st Sunday in May at Sunset Tavern BRF at 1:30. Hopefully, we can RIDE to this one.
