Meetings: 1st Sunday of month at Sunset Tavern in Black River Falls, WI. At 1:30 pm, downstairs

 

What a beautiful day for our Sunday Oct 5th meeting at Sunset Tavern, BRF. Mtg held outside. Rich led us in pledge and mos. Gary (not present) reported he renewed our Class B raffle license, and we are all up to date with reports. 

 

Some discussion on the state mtg next weekend in Rothschild.

 

Not much happening with the legislature, but don't forget they will be looking for support to re-elect. Next summer try to remember who's friendly to ABATE. On that note LOBBY DAY is set for Feb 17th. I'm sure the bus will stop in BRF at Pizza Hut again. 

 

OT for ABATE is Feb 6, 7, 8 in Marshfield more on that later.

 

We are planning a Chili Cook-off Feb 21st, 2026, at Sunset Tavern BRF Hwy 54 W. 

 

Talked about some things happening at ABATE Acres - poly floors in bathrooms and showers. Also, a shelter structure for a food court. These projects will be done yet this fall. These improvements are made possible with donations to the Dan Frantz Fund. Thanks to all that support!!

 

The Acres will be closed for winter starting Oct 20th. Opens again next spring in May. ALL ABATE members are welcome to use the land.
