Meetings: 1st Sunday of the month at Noon

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence for fellow downed bikers, friends and family, and military given.

Treasury: Banking change has been completed.

Legislative: Voting for the auto vehicle was done quietly. Done by paper vote. Each legislator was able to vote w/o outside influences. WI Rep O’Connor voted Pro. Autonomic vehicles will take at least one year to start testing in WI due to the need to clarify ABATE’s questions. More information from Steve Panten in the newsletter.

Don't forget to sign up for the alerts on the ABATE of Wisconsin (https://www.abatewis.org/copy-of-alerts). This will allow you to take 30 seconds out of your day to send a quick email and let your voice be heard.

MRF continues to push the Right to Repair bill. A reminder to complete the call to action when one is received. Encouraged to share with friends and family.

Discussion was had in attempting to reach the younger generation. Don approaches groups with ABATE information. The younger generation feels that older generation is doing a good job in protecting their rights and do not feel they need to join/participate. Please continue to encourage the younger generation to join. They are more interested in the “free stuff” … AKA the ABATE acres.

Fond du Lac Motorcycle group (sport bikes). These groups are outrunning cops. They get to Winnebago county line and pursuit is stopped. There is a place in Oshkosh where they stop and swap out plastics and helmets.

Accident where two bikes collided. Remember when riding in groups, keep distance and ride your own ride. Just because someone likes to push their limits on a bike, doesn’t mean you have to.

Reminder if you see a motorcycle accident, let your regional rep know about it.

National Night out was discussed. Looking for volunteers. Paul talked to NFdL and FdL police departments and both were very interested.

Cash raffle and beer cart tickets are still available.

Discussion was had about the American Legion Riders State Ride occurring June 25-28. This is open to the public, helmets must be worn (for insurance purposes), and no drinking while on the ride. There are ways you can participate by riding, donating, or sponsoring.

Summer Hummer June 25-28

Memorial Day parades were discussed. Open Road will likely participate. Check with Open Road for details, if any.

Watertown has a Vietnam Memorial wall dedication on Memorial Day.

Follow the ABATE of WI - Region 2C page on FB for updates and announcements.

Watch your email and FB page for information regarding the meeting in June.

June meeting will be held on Saturday June 13th at 12 pm at Old 41 Saloon in Neenah. Rides to and from are encouraged.

Gear Up and Ride.
