Hello Brothers and Sisters! We pretty much have wound down a very busy season of motorcycling in the great Northwest corner of the state! I wanna thank all of our District 6 ABATE members and businesses for all of the great events and support during pretty much every single weekend this whole summer! Starting off up here with our District 6 Summer Kick Off Party, the Patata, Patata Party on Potato Lake The first weekend in June. We were busy right on through to the Stone Lake Cranberry Festival weekend in October! Every weekend between those dates, we have had some motorcycle riding event throughout our whole district! As we wind down, the leaves have already changed and peaked.

 

We still have a few things coming up. I would like to thank everybody for a very successful Stone Lake Cranberry Festival.

and all of our members helping out to run the kids Cranberry Crate drag race down Main Street Hill in Stone Lake! It's always a blast to watch the kids race down the hill and then watch them get dragged back up the hill by our members with our ATVs as they wave the checker flag and everyone applauds their efforts! It's so fun for me especially, to be on the announcer stand up on my scissor lift at the finish line watching people in the crowd betting and exchanging money like it was a sanctioned race in Las Vegas lol! The Stone Lake Cranberry Festival is always very generous and gives us a donation for running that for them. We as enjoy it and wear our motorcycle leathers and fly our ABATE flag. It’s good to put our faces out there to show that bikers aren't all that bad and we do positive things for the community, as we all know! It's unreal how many compliments and pats on the back we all get with people asking what exactly is ABATE ?! our very own Frank the Tank manned our ABATE Booth right next to my announcer’s stand and talked to many of the thousands of people about what we are all about. While at the same time, our one time now retired previous district director, D Rail Andy Matheson sat in his own booth just kitty corner from the finish line carving up all of his beautiful sculptures out of woods from the Northwoods up here !

 

The week after that we had our state meeting down in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls with a knockout weekend for weather and a State meeting! we went on a beautiful motorcycle run on Saturday morning with all the leaves changing and winding through all of the twisties on a nice stop. That day the temperatures were in the 80s, and we ended up at the famous Bucknuckles Bar, then finalized the ride at an Apple Orchard! It was a beautiful day. Thank you Region 7B for a great weekend!! I ask that everyone reads the entire newsletter this month, from the front cover page to the last page. There's a lot of information in this month’s newsletter from election results right on through what’s going to be happening soon.

 

Our next regional meeting will be at the Rockford House on Long Lake on NOVEMBER 7th At NOON! And not to jump too far ahead and make anybody Cringe at thinking we're not far from Christmas, but our District 6 Christmas party like always, will be at the Springbrook VFW on December 5th! Our returning Christmas party music duo The Two of Us, will be playing music that day, of course! We will talk more about that and upcoming things at our regional meeting at the Rockford house. So, everyone thanks again for keeping this a great district and I thank you all for all that you guys and gals do for our motorcycle rights and our way of life!
