Hello everyone. Hoping this got in soon enough to make the newsletter and if you're reading this, it obviously did! As we all know, Gina has been going through a long process with her medical issues and we all hope you are doing well, Gina. We are all thinking about you! I miss my secretary!
Heads up everyone, hopefully this comes out before Cranberry festival, but Cranberry festival is our next regional meeting and that's on October 4 in Stone Lake! We will be running the crate race again for the kids which we do every year, and it takes as many people as we can to help out with this! For those of you who have been part of it every year, you know it's a good time and the more the merrier. We can always use all the help. It's a big deal to get going and the Cranberry festival committee really appreciates what we do, so they give us a generous contribution for ABATE. Everyone should meet up at the Lion’s Hall on Saturday, October 4th at 11:30 am. Just a heads up. We cannot throw candy from the moving vehicles during the parade this year because of liability issues. The parade did have a little issue last year, so they made the new rule of not being able to throw candy from vehicles, motorcycles, etc. Anyone outside the vehicle can toss it to the kids, but we cannot throw it from moving vehicles. Please keep that in mind. The parade immediately follows our meeting and then the crate race will follow that.
I will have already gone to the Meeting of the Minds in Louisiana, which was September 25th through the 28th. This is the biggest get together of SMRO's. (State Motorcycle Rights Organizations) in the history of the MRF! Excited to be part of that, and I will represent our district and the state of Wisconsin for all of you! Otherwise, it's been a great summer - very busy. I'm pretty worn out especially after the Tomahawk Fall Ride, so everyone please stay safe, ride free, and I will see everyone at Cranberry Festival 2025 on October 4th. Please put that on your calendar. We need as many people as we can!
Thank you.
