No formal meeting was held in May. May 3rd a meet and greet was held with regions 7E Juneau County and 8F Sauk County in Leland (North Freedom) Wisconsin at Schellter Bar. A very large thank you goes out to LeRoy and his staff for allowing us to set up an informational stand during the famous Slimy Crud Run. This event brings in thousands of riders. This event happens twice a year, spring and fall. We plan on attending the fall event in October. Thank you to Jay and Shannon Goecks, and Jessica Pickle for your assistance and attendance.

 

May 16th, we met at Club LaMark for breakfast and did a small showing for Motorcycle awareness month. Thank you to Stan Otis at Club LaMark for the hospitality.

 

June 7th our monthly meeting will be located at NV Corners at 1 pm. July meeting will be on the 12th due to the holiday weekend. August 2nd and September 6th will be at NV Corners at 1 pm. October 4th will be a meet and greet at the Slimy Crud Run. November 1st will be at NV Corners at 1 pm.

Upcoming Events:

Bikini Bike Wash Date: July 19, 2026. Time: 10 am – 5 pm Location: NV Corners. Shannon and Jay Goecks will be setting up an ABATE tent. Currently, two ladies have committed to participate, with the possibility of up to four. Additional gentlemen are being sought to participate. Volunteers are also needed to serve as tent attendants.

 

Summer Fun Run Coordinated by Quincy, Road Captain. Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026. Meet at 11 am, kickstands up at noon. Approximately four-hour ride following part of the Thunder Run route. Ride will begin and end at NV Corners, with a stop at Johnny B's Rolling Smoke/NV Corners.

 

Legislative Update: A brief update was provided regarding Level 4 and Level 5 autonomous vehicle legislation currently on the floor for voting. Current testing is being conducted on a closed course at UW–Madison.

 

Combat Veterans Rally Date: August 8, 2026. Starting location: NV Corners. Members are encouraged to come out and support our veterans.

 

Jefferson County Campout Date: August 14, 2026.

 

Summer Hummer Hosted by ABATE of Wisconsin. Dates: June 25–28, 2026. This is a 21+ event. Activities include camping, live bands, vendors, games, and more.
