ABATE Report January Meeting

Region 8A/8C

 

We held the January meeting on January 4th at the VFW in Platteville, at 1 pm. Had an amazing turnout for the meeting and talked about a lot of our upcoming events.

 

Lobby days is coming up, February 17th, invite your friends and families even if they aren’t ABATE members! There will be a sign up for it at the next meeting. The bus schedule is changing this year, 7:15 am is Warco in Bloomington, WI and then Lancaster Swimming Pool in Lancaster, WI. Any questions before or after the next few meetings please reach out to us!

 

There has been talk about planning an Emergency/ Guardian Angel class for our region or even for people who aren’t in ABATE to participate in; we need a certain number of people to do it in order for them to even come down to do the class. We had a signup at the January meeting to see how many people were interested and who were interested in attending the class. So far, we have enough people interested in it and will have another sign-up sheet at the next meeting for anyone to sign up who wasn’t at the January meeting. Any questions don’t hesitate to ask.

 

Upcoming events:

February Meeting will be held on February 1st at Home-A-Gins in Mount Hope at 1 pm

Officer Training is February 6th-8th

Lobby Days February 17th

March Meeting, which is our Chili Cook-off, will be on March 7th at Fireball Lanes in Lancaster

April Meeting is on April 12th. This will be our highway cleanup which will start at 11:30 am and our meeting will follow after at 1 pm at Midway.
