ABATE Meeting Minutes April/May 2025
Welcome Back Walworth County!
 

Meetings: Walworth County ABATE meetings held on the 1st Sunday of each month unless otherwise notified in

advance.

 

Hopefully, everyone had an awesome and safe Labor Day. We had a great turnout for the meeting. We discussed motorcycle safety since at the end of August we had 63 fatalities on motorcycles, compared to 65 last year.

 

We are planning a float in the Elkhorn Christmas Parade in December. Jason (Owner of Elkhorn Saloon) has a hay wagon we can use. We need some volunteers to help decorate the float. We’re also hoping, if weather permits, to have some bikes in the parade.

 

Brian Jones was moved up to Area Representative. Congratulations on all the hard work and dedication.

 

Discussion on formation in a group ride that we would be using on our rides for safety reasons. We decided staggered. This will make the newer riders more comfortable in a group ride.

 

We'll have more info at our next meeting at Elkhorn Saloon about things coming up and if nice out, a ride. Bring someone with you to the next meeting, so they can see and understand what ABATE does for all.

 

Our next meeting is October 11th at the Elkhorn Saloon in Elkhorn. Region 1C Walworth County ABATE is getting noticed by the residents with a positive appreciation. Thank you to all of you that have suggestions to make us bigger and stronger than ever before. Without all of you members, we would be nothing.
