ABATE 4C November 2025 Meeting. Shannon Kayhart CTO at 1 pm from Mel’s Foxx Den north of Thorp. 15 members were present. Brad from 7B led the Pledge, following a MOS by Shannon. Paul Schmidt read the October minutes without additions and one correction.
Lobby Day training date is December 7, not the 6th. MMS by Rainy and Tom to accept, all ayes. Thanks to Mel for sponsoring our meeting. Welcome Doug, from 4A/B, also Brad and Lori from 7B.
Tom Babbitt talked of the annual meeting held in Rothchild. Lobby Day training to be held at Batemans in Chippewa Falls December 7th, 9 am-noon. Brad and Lori from 7B, are in charge of the meeting.
93 motorcycle deaths year to date, 103 last year. An improvement, but not great. Most were single motorcycle accidents. A Hummer date of 6, 24 thru 27 of 2027 has been scheduled. The raffle license cost doubled, now is $50 each. Share The Road Sue, has a float in Antigo parade December 3. Tom has raffle tickets. Hummer passes to go up. Legislative report from Pogie: Engine choice LRB 184, shot down by Gov. Evers after it passed both houses. Right to Repair bills AB 127 and 135 to go to hearing sometime soon, it is hoped. Not much else because of the Gov’t shutdown. Membership report: Rainy tells us not a lot of interest with rider season winding down. Pennsylvania tried to pass a possible helmet law.
Old Business: Hummer sponsors are still needed. Christmas party costs should be paid today. Doug from 4A/B was here for approval of pool and dart bulletin design. It was good to go.
New Business: Brat feed at motorcycle awareness rally needs one person in charge. Sandy Schmidt will take this over. Shannon talked of a punch board instead of raffle tickets for brat customers. It’ll take less time for them while they wait for their brat. Better advertising, and move the grills closer to the road, so potential customers can see what’s going on.
7B is hosting the annual meeting October 2026 in Eau Claire.
Future events: Lobby Day training at Bateman’s Tavern Dec. 7.
Meeting/Christmas Party One Shot, Owen 1 pm.
Feb 17th Lobby Day.
Feb 21 District 4 Pool and Dart Tournament Fenwood at noon.
50/50 raffle winner was Joanne.

Respectfully submitted by Paul Schmidt,
Secretary 4C
