ABATE 4C February 2026 Meeting. Shannon CTO at 1:05 pm from the Last Ace in Owen. Thanks to Tony for hosting our meeting. Paul S. led the Pledge. Shannon held a MOS for our downed brothers and sisters. Paul read the minutes from January, MMS to accept as read by Pogie and Rainy, all aye, motion carried. We welcomed Preston back to our meeting.
Tom Babbitt read the Treasurer’s report. All accounts are up to date. The gun raffle tickets are printed and ready to sell for the car show in August. Tom has State cash raffle tickets available.
Legislative Rep, Pogie, reminds us when a “Call to Action” comes up from ABATE or MRF, to share it with all of our friends and Facebook contacts. We need to show our politicians we need these bills addressed. Brad, from 7B, was at the meeting in Madison on the 12th. He said ABATE made quite the showing with 37 members attending. Representative Rivera said she had to rewrite her bill. The bill involved testing of autonomous vehicles on Wisconsin highways.
Membership Rep. Rainy, received one membership for her fine efforts in signing up 10 new members. WAY 2 GO Rainy! She urged all who could go to Lobby Day on Tuesday.
Clark Rep. Sandy has arranged for Clark County Sherriff Kerry Kirn, to speak at our March meeting at Behind Barrs on March 15.
Fun-Run chair Kay has quite a few stops set up for this summer. It starts May 1st and ends September 26th. End of run party will be at the One Shot in Owen.
A meat raffle was discussed. When and where was the biggest decision. This was tabled for more discussion at future meetings. May is awareness month.
We will have a brat fry at our awareness rally from Strike Time Lanes in Neillsville. Preston will design a poster for it. Paul and Sandy will handle canopies and seating, tables, and street advertising. Rainy applied for a discounted rate from Walmart for meat and buns. This has to be done early. Pogie and Shannon designed a punch board with 100 spots.
Krissy Bowe talked of a National night out she participated in her city. It involves members bringing their motorcycles to it. Explain to everyone how everything affects our riding. She thought we could do this in Medford in August. Law enforcement will be there along with EMT’s, Fire Depts. Good exposure for us. August’s first or second Tuesday is tentative.
August’s car show will be held at World of Cars, (Stanley.)
Region 4 pool and dart tournament and chili cook-off will be in Fenwood.
7B is having a chili cook-off at Bateman’s, Chippewa Falls March 21 at 11 am.
April meeting at Rip’s in Riplinger, 1 pm. Sandy won the 50/50. Motion to adjourn by Pogie at 2:30.
Respectfully submitted by
