Meetings: Third Sunday – See Text

ABATE 4C September 2025 meeting. Regional Rep Shannon Kayhart CTO at 1 pm from the Blue Mirror Bar in Greenwood. Paul Schmidt led our group in the Pledge. A moment of silence for our downed brothers and sisters and those in harm’s way was held. The secretary’s report was read by Sec. Paul Schmidt. MMS (motion made and seconded) to accept as read by Randy C. and Dawn.

Tom Babbitt talked of the Hummer and the 4C Car Show held at World of Cars, Stanley, both being successful. 74 entries made it a full show. 210 Share The Road students were taught this year. The cost of State raffle licenses will increase from $25 to $50 as expected. MRF dues are due in Dec.

Membership Rep. Rainy, reports new membership have slowed. They stay 1 year and then don’t renew. More work needed, any suggestions?

Legislative Rep. Pogie, reports SB 184 passed the Senate, is now awaiting Gov. Ever’s signature. The Tesla vehicle is still a problem with not recognizing motorcycles when in autonomous mode, running over motorcycles, to pedestrians and motorcycles being recognized as the same.

Old Business: The car show was discussed. All agreed to keep it at the present location. The Summer Fun Run was a good time. Most riders agreed that it was handled well. Different roads enjoyed by all. 150 books printed, 127 sold. One Shot in Owen sold the most (20). 16 riders made all 38 stops. Trail’s End campout will stay where it is. Boondock’s location was discussed.

New Business: 7B’s Lori suggested a raffle to go along with the fun run. Tabled for a later date. Tom suggested having District 4A in the run, also tabled for later.

Christmas party will be held at One Shot in Owen. Pulled pork, Mashed potatoes, a veggie and roll. Meal cost will be $12 each, payable at Oct. or Nov. meetings.

Dates to remember: Land closing Oct 17 through 19. Pat Sheridan said there are 50 new trees to plant.

Oct. 19 meeting, Green Lantern, Neillsville 1 pm. December 21, Christmas party/meeting. One shot Owen 1 pm. Prepay $12 please.

Motion to adjourn at 2 pm by Kay and Randy. Carried.

Respectfully submitted by Paul Schmidt,

Secretary 4C
