September marked our 1st meeting back at noon. The rest of the meetings for the year have also been moved back to noon. Thank you to Dawn and the team at Hookers Bar & Grill. The space was just the right size. We were lucky to have Joy Goeben as a guest speaker at the meeting. We talked about the bills we have in the process right now. Joy has already signed on to both of them and was eager to see how she can partner with us to reach our legislative goals. Members shared with me afterwards that they really appreciated the honest conversation Joy had with us.

At the meeting we talked about this year's Summer Freedom Ride party. We picked the winner to get into the 2026 book for free. Congrats Quinney Quencher. Recently Paul passed the reins on to Mark & Diane. We thank Paul for his many years of support and hope he enjoys the next chapter of life. We also wish Mark & Diane the best as they begin this adventure. The Summer Freedom Ride Party is at Bobber's Bar between Sherwood & Stockbridge on HWY 55. Books can be turned in for prizes from 3 pm - 6:45 pm. The drawings will start at 7 pm. Dinner is included when you turn in your book. We'll have lots of great basket raffles as well. Come join the fun and bring a friend.

We also reviewed the success from the National Night Out events and the Hortonville Commercial Club Bike Raffle. We talked about the Region 2E Campout. Those who made it out really enjoyed the pace of being at the land outside of the Summer Hummer. I would encourage anyone who hasn't been, go visit. We still have till October 19th to go enjoy when the bathrooms & showers are open.

We did some planning as well for the Meat Raffle at Jeanne's Bar in Sherwood in November. I'll have posters to get hung up at the October meeting. We would really appreciate your help in making it a success.

We reviewed the Family Campout and upcoming Annual Meeting. I'm also selling tickets for the Holiday Cash Raffle.

We've talked at several meetings about the increased crashes in our area due to high speed. After the meeting Fox 11 reached out and I was able to do an interview with them. They reached out to get our position on the dispute about the noise on College Ave. What was aired was a small piece of the conversation but hopefully, it gets positive communication between both sides on the issue. I do appreciate though that Fox 11 reached out to us and gave us the opportunity to represent motorcyclists. Danno is checking into legislation that was mentioned. We would oppose anything that targets motorcycles.

As the temperatures drop, the skies get dark a little earlier, and the animals start to roam; please ride safely, my friends. We want everyone to make it home.

Hope to see you all at upcoming meetings and events.

Krissy
