Meetings are the FIRST Sunday of the month at 1 pm at the Snider Richardson American Legion Post 273 in Grand Marsh, WI.

Meeting was called to order by our Area Rep, Dave, followed by the Pledge and a Moment of Silence for our downed brothers, sisters and those in harm’s way. We had 9 members in attendance.

 

August meeting minutes/secretary report was printed on the back of the agenda for the members to read. It was accepted and approved. Barb gave the treasurer’s report. It was accepted and approved. Rick reported for membership that we have 61 members. There was nothing new to report from the Area Rep or for Share The Road. For legislation John W talked about the importance of responding to the Call to Actions that we receive. He also gave a recap of what was in the newsletter.

 

There was no old business to discuss.

 

New business:

ABATE Acres land closing will be October 17-19.

Annual meeting is October 10-12 in Rothschild and products will be available for sale.

 

John W mentioned that there will be a Veteran's Day meal at the Friendship Village Hall on Veteran's Day which is open to the public. Veterans eat free. They will be serving spaghetti, green beans, bread and dessert from 4-6.

 

Dawn won $30 with the 50/50 drawing.

 

Nancy Gielow lost $184 for the membership drawing. Just a reminder that you must be present at the meeting and present the month prior to win the membership drawing.
